The Historical Museum of St. James-Assiniboia is located on Treaty 1 land, the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. These lands, occupied for thousands of years, are the traditional territories of the Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, and Nakota Nations. The Museum respects the Treaties that were made on this territory.
